It’s a Symphony, Not a Rainbow

I know, it’s been like forever. You’d think summer would be when I have the time to do fun stuff, like write in this blog. Nope. I have no time. Ever.

“This is a common exercise: Write a poem in the shape of the thing you are describing. Google these poems: ‘Easter Wings‘ by George Herbert; ‘Swan and Shadow‘ by John Hollander. Think about how the visual form of the poem relates to its content. A poem about a disastrous Christmas might become ironic if written in the shape of a Christmas tree.

There was no way to get WordPress to make the shape I wanted, so I just hand wrote the poem and posted a picture of it. Don’t mind my loppy scrawl.
